London Riding Horse Parade

Hello all,

I am delighted to be able to inform you that I have, at last, got the go ahead to hold the London Riding Horse Parade this year. The Parade will be on Sunday 21^st October at Rotten Row, Hyde Park.

Hopefully the Parade website and Facebook page will be updated by the close of play today to reflect the new date

BHS East Sussex News

BHS East Sussex will be running another 'Sherree Ginger' clinic this autumn, following the resounding success of Sherree's 'Confinence building and Ring Nerves' clinic at Plumpton College in June. Please check the British Horse Society - London and South East Facebook and the local press for the date.

BHS EAST SUSSEX COMMITTEE will be holding their Annual Meeting on Friday 26th October 2012 at 7.30 pm

Golden Cross Equestrian Centre, Chalvington Road, Golden Cross, Nr Hailsham BN27 3SS

Business meeting starts at 7.30pm - free of charge - Followed by a demonstration by Sam Penn

'Starting the event horse - an all round education'.

Sam will demonstrate a couple of 4 year olds with flat/jump work then she will move on the older horse to show how they progress. The cost to attend this will be £5.00 per person.

BHS East Sussex is also offering the following training dates -

Jump-for-Fun’ Clinics
A confidence building session aimed at riders (and horses) who are either inexperienced at jumping or ‘rusty’ combinations returning to jumping and simply in need of a gentle reintroduction! Riders must be secure and established in their basic flat work position.

'See a Stride' clinics
Gymnastic grid sessions aimed at horses and riders who are ready to improve their jumping technique and athleticism. Sessions will focus upon the improvement of rhythm, tempo and balance through the different stages of jumping.

Cost:£25 per session. Lasting 1.5 hours. The starter group will be 10 - 11.30 and the Novice group 11.30 - 1.00 pm.

BHS Horse Owners CertificatesStarting in October, a series of short evening theory courses from Level One to Four, being held at Wilmington. Each level lasts six weeks and focuses upon knowledge with regard to the care and management aspect of
keeping horses. Topics covered on theses courses will also help with preparation for BHS Stage exams.

BHS Exam Preparation Courses
Starting in October, friendly and relaxed Saturday afternoons sessions aimed at helping prepare candidates for the care aspects of the BHS stage exams from Stage One through to Stage Four. Held at Wilmington.
