Closing Dates:  will be on the Wednesday before each show
Prizes: 1st - 6th rosettes subject to entries Points will be awarded to MSRC members for 1st to 6th place and a trophy will be presented at the end of the series to the winner in each section of Walk & Trot; Prelim; Novice & Elementary

Mid Sussex Riding Club’s 2012 Dressage Series is supported by Ben Leathers and Jane Clifford
and between them they are providing some fantastic prizes.
Ben, has generously donated a small training bursary, specifically aimed to support those riders who perhaps with a little helping hand could be winning red & blue rosettes next time! Those riders, outside the main placings (5th to 10th place) will accrue ‘Training Points’ over the series with the winner receiving two free dressage lessons with Ben & the runner up one lesson.
Points will be awarded as follows :-
5th place - 10 points,
6th place - 8 points etc with
10th receiving 1 point.
An up to date training points progress table will be available on www.midsussexridingclub.co.uk & www.homelands-equestrian.co.uk.
Ben currently competes in Dressage and Eventing and also trains and coaches pupils for BHS Exams and competition. Lessons will take place at Ben’s training facility, Homelands Equestrian in Partridge Green and he can be contacted on 01403 711076.
Jane is a qualified Human and Equine Shiatsu Practitioner, who has owned horses
for most of her life. Jane has kindly donated a Shiatsu session to the horse and rider pairing achieving the
highest percentage in each of the 3 Dressage Series Events. Each winner can chose whether it is they or their horse who will receive the Shiatsu session. Jane can be contacted on 07799 420750.

Sherree Ginger is a Psychotherapist (Dip HE Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP Master and Life Coach) and riding teacher (BHS AI & Int SM) She has been very privileged over the past few years to have worked successfully with riders from novice to Olympic level. Being able to draw on her experience as a rider, competitor and instructor has allowed her a unique advantage and insight into the challenges and difficulties faced by riders, enabling her to assist them in resolving a wide variety of issues.

Sherree will talk about FEAR and the “What ifs” and performance anxiety (“Ring nerves”)

She will then explain how she uses hypnosis to help clients overcome their fears and anxieties and gain confidence.

She will also talk about Sports psychology and hypnosis to win the “Mind Game” in competitions.

In the second half of the demo, Sherree will give all present the opportunity to experience some hypnotherapy and begin to work on their own issues – if they wish.

Stolen 3rd February 2012

In case anyone is offered these items = stolen from south of Horsham. 2 stable doors (2 months old) 4 x Parelli halters, 4 x 12 ft Parelli ropes, 2 x 22ft Parelli ropes, 2 x grooming kits, 1 x ordinary headcollar and rope.

Area Quiz

Date: Thursday 22nd March 2012
Place: The British Wildlife Centre, Eastbourne Road, Newchapel, Lingfield RH7 6LF
Time: 7.30pm for 8pm start

The area quiz was won by Horsham - both their teams having the same score. It was a pleasant evening, thanks to Julian for being the quiz master and to the BWLC for providing and excellent venue.

a= show jumping
b= flat work
c = Presentation

these will run over 3 hours people can do 1, 2 or all 3 sections it is 14.00 pounds per section so if people want to do all 3 it would be 42.00 pounds or 14.00 per section , what ever you fancy doing .
location is at Durfold Farm , Plaistow Rd , Dunsfold , there is a indoor school so weather not a problem . This will be great trainning for Working Hunter classes or Royal Windsor , Lynn also has a full set of working hunter fences to train over .
